Truecaller is a go-to app for Caller ID, spam blocking and payments. It’s a phone directory of hundreds of millions of users across the world. Truecaller is one of the popular apps on Android Play and App Store with total of 300M installs.

But Truecaller got some serious issues when it comes to privacy. Your mobile number and other information will be shared worldwide for a few bucks. Also, the data is stored on the servers placed in China. If all this not bother you, then you can continue to use the Truecaller App but if someone doesn’t want to continue then here is the guide to completely delete your Truecaller account.

1. Deactivate Your Truecaller Account

First, you need to open the Truecaller App and head over to the below navigation.

Go to Settings ››Privacy Center ››Deactivate

2. Unlist Mobile Number From Truecaller

Your Truecaller account has been deactivated successfully but still your number is in the Truecaller directory and searchable. It takes one more step to completely unlist your mobile number from Truecaller.

Open the Truecaller’s Unlist Page on your web browser. Enter your mobile number with the country code. for Example, Indian people will enter something like +910000000000. That is +91 for country code and following 10 zeros will be the mobile number. Now validate the captcha and click the “Unlist Mobile Number” button.

As mentioned on the Truecaller unlist page, the process of removal will take up-to 24 hours.

Congratulations, your mobile number and account has been removed from the Truecaller database completely. You can now enjoy your privacy.

    If you don’t unlist the number from their directory, your numbers will show up in the search results of Truecaller.
