Photoshop is the best designing tool ever made for the image designers and editors across the world. Photoshop is build and distributed by Adobe Inc. as standalone app as well as in package with several other products. There are several options inside which can be used for the designing purposes and one of them is brush to paint the objects and for other uses. Here in this post I will going to teach you, how to add a new brush to your Photoshop application setup and how to use it for the designing purposes.
Here are the steps to install new brushes on Photoshop.
First download the brush file with .abr extension from either free or premium providers according to your need. Here I’m downloading flower brushes pack from brusheezy, a free and premium photoshop brush designer and distribution platform.
Now download and save the files on your system hard disk and move the downloaded .abr brush file to the Photoshop installation directory under this path. Path: C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)PresetsBrushes and paste the file in this brushes folder.
Open your Photoshop application which can be purchased from any online eCommerce vendor, market and from Adobe Web Portal. And go to the Brush Tool using Shift + B from keyboard or by just selecting the brush using cursor from tools panel.
Now go to brush selector as shown as red Circle-1 then select the gear sign on right as red circle-2 and then select Load Brushes… shown as red Circle-3.
A file selector window will open, again go to the same path where you moved your .abr file as suggested path: C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)PresetsBrushes and select your brush file, as in this case it is Flower-Brush.abr.
Now your brush has been installed, you can use it by selecting it from the brush selector panel as shown in the pictures. Load Our New Brush as:
Create New Blank Layer and use Brush Tool. Enjoy 🙂
