Although, there are plenty of plugins available to embed YouTube videos in WordPress, but nothing is much better than using an inbuilt feature of WordPress.

The WordPress supports AUTO-EMBEDDING. This is a feature of WordPress by which it renders the simple URL of YouTube and other supported media hosting websites to a full media content (Live Preview).

  1. Open the YouTube video, you want to embed into the blog post.
  2. Click on the share button given at the bottom right of the video.

  1. Open Editor in the WordPress (Edit the Blog Post).
  2. Head over to the part of post, where you want the video to be inserted and click on the free area.

The AUTO-EMBEDDING of WordPress will convert the URL into a full video preview in the visual editor itself. Don’t hyperlink the video by placing <a> tags. Just simply past the URL as it is.
